To fight uncertainties, animal protein companies invest in new releases, technology and diversification
Poly Clip has confirmed its presence at ANUTEC BRAZIL 2020 and presents a renewed packaging stapling, focusing on security and automation.
The Brazilian perspective in the agribusiness is a combination of optimism and uncertainty. On the one hand, there is the enthusiasm with the increase of animal protein exports mainly to Asian countries such as China. One the other hand, the slow resumption of the domestic consumption and the high price of the raw material have slowed down the investments.
“As the domestic consumption remains tight, it’s difficult to justify new investments. At the same time, falling interest rates might encourage the industry to respond positively by purchasing new equipment and new job opportunities, which could increase the consumption rates. In short, a sustainable growth cycle”, says Fernanda Baldini, Technology manager of Poly–clip System, which has confirmed its participation in ANUTEC BRAZIL 2020. “Anyhow, it’s hard to forecast the prevailing scenario due to the politics uncertainty”.
Despite the troubled economic times, Poly-Clip has achieved its annual growth goals and profit – “which has been achieved with a lot of effort”, Baldini emphasises. The success of Poly-Clip consists on new machine models releases focusing on automation and portfolio diversification, which enables the company to attend a wide range of segments of the industry.
For example, the company has developed its stapling equipment. The most recent generation of double automatic staplers (50, 60, 80, 90, 100, 120, 140 and 160 FCAs models) have as a new staple profile as a differential and it is fully integrated to flexible packaging sealing.
“The requirements on the improvement of the equipment/process ergonomics focused on minimizing employees’ burnout have brought automation to the top spot in slaughterhouses”, Baldini says. “Some of the processes’ stages may be performed very efficiently or better than the traditional manual process increasing productivity and improving hygiene and consistence”.
At the ANUTEC BRAZIL 2020, Poly-clip will not only present its stapling workbench line, which is produced in Brazil, but also automatic and semiautomatic equipment produced by the head office in Germany. Poly-clip will exhibit in its exclusive stand products such as sausage and cheese slicers as a representative for various companies.
Founded in 1922, Poly-clip has its own operation headquarters in Brazil since 1971 and the company sells its products in over 145 countries. In addition to stapling equipment, staples, ties, replacement parts and technical support service, Poly – clip has a number of foreign representatives that offer a wide range in solutions for the slaughterhouse industry such as deboning equipment, as well as pork, bovine and poultry manufacture, thermal processing and industrial wastewater treatment.
