ANUTEC BRAZIL presents an exclusive workshop with innovations and solutions on packaging for the animal protein industry
The event repeats the success of its last edition and will be organised by the Packaging Institute, which is a reference in the educational and research areas.
ANUTEC BRAZIL, International Supplier Fair for the Meat and Protein Industries, brings a new feature for its next edition: an exclusive workshop on packaging for the protein industry organised by the Packaging Institute, which will present trends, innovations and cases by experts of the industry. The fair takes place from 26th to 28th May 2020, in Curitiba.
“Last year it was the first time we held the workshop and it brought excellent results exceeding our expectations in terms of audience and critics”, Assunta Camilo, director of Packaging Institute, says. “We want to repeat its success in the next ANUTEC edition by bringing knowledge to both companies and visitors so they can get up to date and develop in the industry”.
“Times have changed and we all must open our eyes. For that reason, ANUTEC BRAZIL gathers the latest news in technology to the industry, including the exhibiting area in which many international suppliers will participate as well as through workshops. Partners such as Packaging Institute and Ital (Food Technology Institute) strengthen our team in terms of innovations and attractions to make ANUTEC BRAZIL the most comprehensive event in the industry”, Cassiano Facchinetti, managing director of Koelnmesse Brasil, organiser of the event, says.
Assunta has recently returned from Anuga, the largest global meeting of the food and beverage industry held in Germany by Koelnmesse likewise ANUTEC BRAZIL. By visiting Anuga it is possible to observe the packaging solutions are changing to become more sustainable and convenient at the same time it improves the food’s appearance as well as extends its shelf life.
As an example, she observes the reduction in the use of plastic and regulations regarding single-use plastic packaging, which should expand to other countries in Europe. In addition, there are new materials such as Phormanto that doubles foods’ shelf life by using a vacuum system preventing the protein from sitting in a pool of juices.
“Brazil is the largest animal meat supplier and, as such, moves a large amount of money and the packaging industry. It is estimated that 65% of the packages are developed for food and beverage”, Assunta says. “Therefore, it is important that Brazilian key players to stay up to date with the changes in the industry on equal terms with international competitors”.
Assunta emphasises that the Packaging Institute considers better packaging should be developed for a better world. Therefore, it is very important to participate in a fair that gathers the key players of the animal protein industry of Brazil. “We believe that events like these are valuable, even more now considering the good overview for the next few years as the exports have increased alongside with the recovery of the industry”.
