Chicken of the future: advances will enable faster production without losing quality

The subject that will be discussed during the VI Sindiavipar Workshop, which will take place on November 7 and 8 in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), with the sponsorship of ANUTEC BRAZIL.

 

The constant growth of the poultry market demands frequent adaptations from the industries to meet market demands and offer consumers more and more benefits. Developing a product that satisfies both productivity and quality, in addition to prioritizing animal welfare, is not an easy task. Being this balance, the challenge and what is sought to achieve today.

 

The theme will be discussed during the VI Workshop Sindiavipar – Poultry in Constant Improvement, which will take place on November 7 and 8 in Foz do Iguaçu (PR). The event, promoted by the Union of Poultry Products Industries of the State of Paraná (Sindiavipar), brings together representatives of national poultry industry to discuss the main trends of the sector and will have the sponsorship of ANUTEC BRAZIL.

 

According to the associate director of Products of Cobb South America, Rodrigo Terra, who will give the lecture “The Chicken of the Future”, the protein needs to meet various parameters that will not only be productivity, but also ethical development, environmental impact and animal welfare. “A chicken with the physiological capacity to continue improving its performance, without losing its ability to remain healthy,” points out Terra.

 

For this, the specialist highlights that new tools are employed year after year to improve accuracy, genetic progress and speed of evolution to serve the public. “The new technologies propose healthier birds, with better zootechnical performance and, consequently, lower production costs, more accessible to the consumer and without the use of antibiotics,” he says.

 

According to Terra, the chicken of the future is the answer to the need of companies to adapt to the demands of consumers and keep products in conditions that meet the most diverse markets. “Being attentive to the demands of productivity and the consumer are crucial for the success of the product under development, in order to keep it updated,” he adds.

 

Programming

 

It is also confirmed, in the programming of the VI Sindiavipar Workshop, the presence of poultry leaders such as the president of the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), Francisco Turra, and the former president of the Catarinense Association of Poultry (ACAV) and current director of Seara Alimentos, José Antonio Ribas Júnior.

 

As well as important names in the research area such as agronomist Antonio Mário Penz Júnior, professors and veterinarians Leonardo Thielo de La Vega from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR) and Luiz Caron from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), as well as professor of the Department of Sciences.

 

Veterinarians of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Liris Kindlein.

 

Among the newest confirmed are Claudio Mauricio Franco, Adhemar de Oliveira Neto, Marcelo Torretta, Carlos Paulo Ronchi, Gilclér Regina, Otamir Cesar Martins, Edson Bordin, Jorge Luis Chacón, Luiz Sesti and Ana Viana.

 

Parallel to the lectures, the event will have theme rooms of “Heavy Matrices”, held in partnership with DSM, and “Refrigerators”, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), in order to clarify doubts of the quality and production teams. It will also be part of the program, the business fair, which this year has already shown a 65% growth in relation to the last edition.

 

Dinner of the Rooster

 

The event also includes another edition of the Dinner of the Rooster, a meeting that brings together representatives and industrialists from the poultry chain in Paraná and Brazil to celebrate the sector’s positive numbers. “We offer a quality product, recognized by the most demanding markets in the world, with competitive prices thanks to this base that we have built, although we are aware of the importance of continuing investments in technology for the growth of activities,” concludes Martins.
